The goods train coming to Kasganj from Kanpur derailed near the Patiali Junction in Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj. The five compartments of the goods train got derailed. It is reported that few other compartments of the train got badly damaged in the accident. The Railway Protection Force team has reached the spot to take report of the situation. The movement of trains on Kanpur-Kasganj route got affected due to this incident.
Indian Railways to clone train to avoid long waiting list
This is the second rail accident near Kanpur in the last two weeks. No injury or casualty was reported in the accident. BS Meena, Kasganj station master said, "The incident occurred when the goods train was heading towards Mathura from Kanpur. Six of its bogies jumped off the track between Patiyali -Ganjdundwara at around 4am on Tuesday".
NDA crossed it 100th mark in Rajya Sabha
The station master added, "No loss of life or injury was reported in the mishap and senior officials have been apprised about the incident. The rail traffic would be resumed soon as there is minimal traffic on this route owing to cancellation of several trains in view of Pandemic guidelines".
