Rabi season is 15 days old. More than one lakh hectares have already been cultivated. Rabi officially started on October 1, but the southwest monsoon and low pressure could not be harvested by heavy rains and floods. Now the rains have reduced and the crop harvesting has begun. The farmers were ready to harvest the second crop. While on the one hand, kharif crops are being swolved On the other hand, rabi crop is being prepared. The most likely crops in this season include paddy, gram, and pepper.

Farmers are moving forward with the help of the state government's recent farmer assurance and the availability of subsidised seeds and fertilizers on time. The area of cultivation in Rabi is 22.75 lakh hectares. Already 1.07 lakh hectares of crops have been cultivated. Ap Seed Development Corporation is supplying 15 varieties of seeds for this season on subsidy. 2,71,612 quintals of seeds are prepared by the government Already 69,389 farmers have received subsidised seeds through RBKs. Agriculture Commissioner Arun Kumar said all fertilizers, including urea, were available for Rabi.

Rice cultivation in Rabi is 7.12 lakh hectares Already 24,000 hectares have been laid. Oilseeds in 11,000 hectares, 32,000 hectares of peanuts, 4,000 hectares of aparas and other crops in the remaining area have already been sowed. Paddy harvesting has just begun in both Godavari and Srikakulam districts.
