There has been lockdown in the country and the world due to the infection, due to which people are imprisoned in their homes, although the movement of people has not stopped completely, but it has reduced. Google has released a new report which is divided into categories such as Retail & Re- Creation, Grocery & Pharmacy, Parks, Transit Stations, Workplaces and Residential. It has been reported in this report that how much the people have gone out of the house in relation to the above category has decreased. This data of Google is between March 28 to May 9 and compared it to the data between January 3 and February 6.

Retail and Re- Creation- First of all, in terms of retail and re-creation, it includes activities like hotels, cafes, shopping malls, library, movie viewing and museum visits . These activities have come down by 80 percent due to the lockdown.

Grocery and Pharmacy - The grocery and pharmacy categories include grocery stores, food stores, farmers, markets. People are going out of the house for ration and medicine, because without ration and medicine, it will become difficult for people to live. There has also been a 32 per cent decrease in those going out of the house for ration and medicine.

Park - Park category includes National Park, Public Beach, Dogs Park, Plage and Public Park. In these, the activities of people have come down by 62 percent.
Transit Station - This includes public transport. There was no movement of people till 31 March, but now it is increasing. From 28 March to 9 May, attendance at public transport declined by 57 per cent.

Workplace- Most people are working from home due to lockdown and in companies where work from home is not possible, work is stopped. There has been a 49 per cent decline in the number of people visiting the workplace as compared to January-February.

Residential - This includes data on how people live at home. Due to the lockdown, most people have stayed at home and are working from home. Between March 28 and May 9, the number of people living at home increased by 25 percent. Gujarat has seen the largest increase in the number of people living at home, which is 33 percent, which is the highest in any state of India. This means that the lockdown is being followed strictly in Gujarat.
