PATNA: Lalu Prasad's daughter Rohini Acharya, who lost the byelection for the Gopalganj Assembly seat by a slim margin, blamed her maternal uncle Sadhu Yadav and AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi for the setback.
She criticised them of playing the role of 'vote katwa (divider of votes').

Acharya blamed, "I want to let Owaisi Sir know that he hasn't exacted revenge on Tejashwi Yadav, but rather has given the present to the group that assisted in freeing the rapists of Bilkis Bano.

In June, 4 of the 5 AIMIM MLAs defected to Tejashwi Yadav's RJD.

The RJD and the grand coalition of seven parties in Bihar have suffered a great loss as a result of the BJP's victory. In the Gopalganj by-election, Kusum Devi of the BJP received 70,053 votes while the RJD candidate received 68,259 votes.
