The current CM of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray has issued a big statement regarding Muslims. On the issue of giving five percent quota in the field of education to Muslims, he said that it has not yet officially come to me. We have to decide our stand on this now. When we actually discuss this matter, the opposition should conserve its energy.

On Friday 28 February, the Shiv Sena coalition government in Maharashtra had made a big announcement to give reservation in education and employment to Muslims. NCP leader Nawab Malik had said that the High Court has agreed to provide reservation in education for Muslims, which the coalition government of Maharashtra is trying to implement by enacting a new law. After this, reservation in jobs and private schools will also be considered.
