Mumbai: Another action has been taken against Independent MP from Amravati Lok Sabha seat in Maharashtra, Navneet Rana and her MLA husband Ravi Rana. It is being told that a team of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has reached his residence in Khar for inspection.
In fact, the BMC had pasted a notice outside Rana's Khar flat on Monday. According to the notice, the BMC will inspect whether illegal construction has been done on Rana's platt. At the same time, sources close to the MP and MLA had termed the action as an act of revenge. He had said that the action was being taken against the Rana couple because of their stubbornness in reciting the Hanuman Chalisa.
Navneet Rana and her husband Ravi Rana had announced to recite hanuman chalisa in front of Matoshree, the residence of CM Uddhav Thackeray. However, he was already arrested by the police. The police had registered a case of 153A against Navneet Rana on charges of inflammatory rhetoric, inciting unrest in the society. Both were later booked for sedition by the police. Now, a sessions court in Mumbai granted bail to MP Navneet Rana and her husband, MLA Ravi Rana, on Wednesday with conditions.
