Government in alert mode regarding corona threat, health ministry meeting continues

New Delhi: Coronavirus is wreaking havoc all over the world. However, the situation in India is still under control. The Union Health Ministry has informed that in the last 24 hours, only 131 cases of corona have been registered. The number of active cases is also coming down. According to the latest updates, the number of active cases in the country has come down to 3,408. Earlier, there were a total of 3,490 active cases in the country, which is the lowest since March 2020.  

In view of the possible threat in India, the central government has become alert. Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has written a letter to all states and Union Territories in this regard. His letter states that samples of all positive cases of coronavirus should be sent for genome sequencing so that variants of coronavirus can be detected. At the same time, the vaccination figure has crossed 220 crores. This figure is by combining the first, second, and prescription doses of all available coronavirus vaccines.

Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya is holding a meeting with senior officials and experts on the corona situation in the country. The Health Ministry has also given the data of corona cases recorded in the country so far. According to the Ministry, India's COVID-19 tally has reached 4,46,76,330 in the country so far.
