Srinagar: Union Minister Jitendra Singh has said in a statement that the Government of India is fully committed to regaining Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoK) and this is the only pending issue between the two neighbouring countries. Union Minister Jitendra Singh further said, "There is no issue like Kashmir issue and Jammu Kashmir is an integral part of India just like any other state or union territory."

Referring to a resolution passed in Parliament in 1994, Minister Jeetendra Singh said that even after so many years, these areas are neighbouring areas. The country is under illegal occupation. The Union Minister further said that the people of PoK have been deprived of democracy for a long time and the government is promising such people that they will make them beneficiaries of India's democratic system with grassroots empowerment.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh also claimed that the construction of bunkers and bridges lying pending in the border areas for the last 7 decades has been done only in the last 5-6 years.
