Government creates an army of 1 crore 'Corona warriors', who will fight against epidemic

New Delhi: In the midst of a long battle with the Coronavirus, the Modi government at the Center has released an online list of warriors fighting the devastation of this deadly disease. The government has shared the state-wise and district-wise availability of the staff of various departments from the medical staff. The government has released a list of more than 1.25 crore staff. The central government has asked all the states, union territories and local bodies to use these warriors as per the requirement.

Online data pool of information of doctors, nurses and other staff has been prepared by Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. All this data has been posted on the website https://covidwarriors.gov.in. An online data pool of volunteers including NYK, NCC, NSS, PMGKVY, ex-service staff, etc. has been created for all physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals, including AYUSH physicians in Corona Warriors.

According to the information released by the government, a total of 1,24,85,659 Corona Warriors of different departments are present in the whole country. Among them, there are more than 9,27,000 MBBS doctors, while more than one and a half million MBBS students. Apart from this, there are more than 17 lakh nurses, more than 2 lakh dentists and more than 8 lakh AYUSH doctors. These include doctors working in NGOs.
