Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has decided to conduct a survey of unrecognised madrasas operating in the state. In this regard, a conference of madrasas was organized in Darul Uloom Deoband of Saharanpur. In which a large number of different madrasas of the state participated. During this time, all the madrasa operators discussed this decision of the government and prepared further strategies.

Talking about this conference, Maulana Arshad Madani said that there are no wrong activities in madrasas, if a madrasa mosque has been built by illegally occupying government land, then the government should demolish such madrasas, we have no problem. We do not oppose the survey being conducted by the government, but we ourselves will give the government all the information they want. About 500 madrasa operators and more than 5,000 people attended the conference held at Masjid Rashidia.

Maulana Madani further said that the government should not target madrasas, Muslims and mosques, but whatever is necessary for the interest of the country, they should do those things in a constitutional manner. The way the government is targeting madrasas, the message of targeting an entire community is going. Which we oppose. A 12-member steering committee is also reported to have been formed at the conference, which will hold discussions with the government.
