Ranchi: In the teacher recruitment exam in Jharkhand from class 1 to 8, i.e. TET, only those candidates will be able to sit, who have passed the matriculation and intermediate examinations from the state itself. At the same time, it is also important to have knowledge of the local language spoken in each district. A detailed notification has been issued for the same.
In order to decide the eligibility for the appointment of teachers in classes 1 to 5 and classes 6 to 8 in Jharkhand, the state government has framed the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test Rules, 2022. The rules have been approved in the cabinet meeting of the state government held on Thursday. The state government has made several changes in the teacher eligibility test rules decided earlier. There are two major changes to that. The first change is that the candidates appearing in this eligibility test are required to study matriculation and inter from Jharkhand itself. At the same time, the second major amendment is about tribal and regional language.
The same candidates will have to have knowledge of the tribals and regional languages decided in that district from which they will appear in this examination. According to the category for passing the eligibility test, the minimum marks obtained and the total marks of the candidates have been fixed. Under this, general category candidates will have to score 60% of the total marks with a minimum of 40% marks. The minimum marks for SCs and STs have been fixed at 30% and the total marks are 50%.
