Jaipur: The Rajasthan government has made a special announcement for the people of the state. The government has announced that from April 1, only those consuming 100 units of electricity per month in the state will be given free of cost 50 units of electricity per month. The state government has said that a contribution of Rs 3 per unit for consumption of up to 150 units for all domestic consumers and Rs 2 per unit for consumption from 150 to 300 units will be made by the state government.

According to the Gehlot government, this will benefit 1.18 crore families. The Gehlot government has also announced that the sum insured under its flagship Chiranjeevi Health Scheme has been increased from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. The government claimed that 1.34 crore families would be benefited.

At the same time, the state government has announced that under the NREGA scheme, it will give 125 days of employment instead of 100 days. The government has said that OPD and IPD in all government hospitals will be free for one month from April 1 and all technical problems will be taken care of after a trial period of one month to fully implement it from May 1.
