New Delhi: The visit of British PM Boris Johnson to India has raised the concerns of the government. The main reason for this is the ongoing tension in the national capital Delhi after the violence. It is reported that the government is concerned about the situation during the meeting of PM Narendra Modi and his British counterpart to be held in Delhi on 22 April. Agencies have also become alert in view of security. The special thing is that on April 16, communal violence broke out during the procession in Jahangirpuri, Delhi. Since then, the situation in the area has remained tense.

Sources have been informed in media reports that the government is concerned that no riots or untoward incident should happen during Johnson's visit to India on 22 April. According to an earlier statement issued by Downing Street, "The visit of the British PM will begin with a meeting of businessmen in Ahmedabad on Thursday (21 April) and contact between commerce, business and people of India and Britain."

The statement further said, 'This will be the first time that a British Prime Minister will visit Gujarat, the fifth largest state in India and the ancestral home of nearly half the British-Indian population.' In Gujarat, Johnson is expected to announce major investments in industries in the UK and India as well as new science, health and technology projects.
