Conditions normal in Jammu and Kashmir, Governor Malik says, 'celebrate Eid without fear'

Srinagar: The situation in Jammu and Kashmir is getting back to normal. Section 144 has been withdrawn from Jammu. All schools and colleges have also been opened since Saturday. Talking to the press after inspecting the latest situation, Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik said, "Everyone is preparing for Eid, is engaged in more facilities. Looks good, a very large number of people have come out."

Governor Malik congratulated the people of the state on Eid, saying, "After Eid Mubarak. Reacting to PM Modi's message on Section 370, "Prime Minister Modi said that he wanted to make the whole of India one. It is our endeavour to ensure that the citizens here do not have any problems."

Talking about the current security arrangements in Kashmir, Governor Malik said, "Today we will try to relax, we will give more relaxation tomorrow. It will be an attempt to become a normal Eid. We are immediately addressing whatever feedback is coming." The situation in Kashmir is under control. All necessary steps will be taken to maintain law and order."
