Govind Namdev, a renowned supporting actor in Bollywood, has had a journey that's nothing short of inspiring. Despite facing numerous challenges, including being bullied in school and beaten by a sadhu (Hindu holy man) in his childhood, Govind has risen to become a household name in the Indian film industry.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Govind revealed a shocking incident from his childhood that has stayed with him till date. "I was 10-11 years old when I played a character similar to the one in OMG (Oh My God!). I used to visit a river in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, with my friends on Sundays. We would spend our day plucking berries, roasting chickpeas, and enjoying ourselves. One day, a sadhu scolded us for polluting the water, which he used for his religious rituals. He warned us not to repeat the mistake. But we continued to visit the river in secret, until one day, I was caught by the sadhu while drinking water. He pulled me back by my neck and thrashed me mercilessly. His eyes were red with anger, and I still remember that incident vividly."

Govind's experience with the sadhu had a profound impact on him, and he drew inspiration from it when playing his character in OMG. "When I got the role, I immediately connected it with the sadhu who had beaten me. The anger and intensity I portrayed in the film were inspired by that incident."

Despite facing numerous challenges in his childhood, Govind has emerged as a talented actor, known for his roles in blockbuster films like OMG 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. His journey is a testament to his dedication and perseverance, and serves as an inspiration to many aspiring actors in the industry.
