Farmer Movement: Government will not repeal agricultural law, ready to give written assurance on MSP!

New Delhi: 5th round meeting between farmers and government opposing agricultural laws is going on. The meeting started at Vigyan Bhavan at around 2 pm. In this meeting, discussions are going on between representatives of 40 farmer organizations and ministers of the government. According to sources, the government will not repeal the agricultural law. However, the government agrees to give written assurances on MSP and Mandi.

During the 5th round of talks at Vigyan Bhawan, representatives of farmer organizations have sought a point-wise written reply from the central government on the talks held during the last meeting. The government has agreed to this matter of the farmers. The central government has agreed to give assurance in writing to the farmers on the biggest demand of the farmers movement, minimum support price (MSP) and mandi. During the meeting, the vehicle of anchor service has reached Vigyan Bhavan. Farmer leaders will eat only the langar.

On the other hand, the demonstration of farmers on the Delhi-Noida border continues. The protesting farmers have given ultimatum to the government. The farmers have called a special session of Parliament before the fifth dialogue and demanded the repeal of the three agricultural laws. The farmers have warned that if their demands are not met, they will stop the rest of the way to Delhi. Farmers have said that the mandi should not end, MSP should remain in force.
