New Delhi: The monsoon session of the SAD will start from 14 September to 1 October, in which the Question Hour was cancelled, but after demands from the opposition, the Modi Government agreed to hold the Question Hour. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi issued a statement on Wednesday saying that the government was not running away from anything.

He said that the government is fully agreed to take unstarred questions, information of which has already been given to all opposition parties, in which most political parties were persuaded. Giving information, Prahlada Joshi has stated that there are unstarred questions to which the minister answers in writing, while the questioner is given the option to ask both in oral and written form.

The opposition has strongly criticized the government after the decision to cancel the Question Hour in the monsoon session due to the Corona pandemic, in which Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has demanded an explanation from the government. Shashi Tharoor has said that "I had said 4 months ago that the ruling leadership will try to suppress democracy and differences on the pretext of Corona pandemic".
