Govt to move 'Indian Antarctic Bill, 2022' in Rajya Sabha

NEW DELHI: Amid continuous chaos since the first day of the ongoing Monsoon Session, the Central government will on Thursday, July 28, move 'The Indian Antarctic Bill, 2022' for passing in the Rajya Sabha. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh will move the bill.

Singh will also make a statement with regard to the status of implementation of observations and recommendations contained in the report of the department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Science and Technology, Environment, Forests and Climate Change on Demands for Grants (2022-23) pertaining to the Department of Science and Technology.

Meanwhile, Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy would propose the resolution to elect one member to the Central Advisory Board of Archaeology in the manner recommended by the Chairman.

Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal will make a remark on the progress of execution of recommendations or observations contained in the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism, and Culture on Demands for Grants report (2022-23).

Minister Ajay Bhatt will make a statement on the progress of execution of the recommendations/observations made by the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism, and Culture on the 'Development of Tourism in Jammu and Kashmir.'

Opposition parties, on the other hand, are likely to continue their protest, seeking the reversal of their members' suspensions as well as a discussion on price increases and other concerns.

Twenty opposition members have been suspended for disrupting House procedures and showing complete disrespect for the Chair.
