New Delhi: During the ongoing monsoon session of Parliament, the Home Ministry in the Upper House said that the full statehood of Jammu and Kashmir will be restored at the right time. This statement was made by the Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai on behalf of the Ministry. Along with this, Nityanand Rai also presented the data of Kashmiri Pandits killed in the attack by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.  

He claimed that there has been no exodus from any Kashmiri Pandit Valley during the year 2022. Talking to reporters in the Upper House during the monsoon session, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai said that Jammu and Kashmir will be granted full statehood at the right time. He said that it is in the hands of the Election Commission to conduct elections in any state.

Presenting the figures for the years 2020, 2021 and 2022 in Parliament, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai said the number of Kashmiri Pandits killed by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir is 1, 4 and 1 respectively. According to records, no Kashmiri Pandit has left the Kashmir Valley during the year 2022. The number of Kashmiri Pandits still living in the Valley is 6,514.
