MAHARASHTRA: After winning the Maharashtra Rajya Sabha elections, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal thanked state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) officials on Saturday.
"I want to express my gratitude to former Maharashtra Chairman Minister Devendra Fadnavis, state party chief Chandrakant Patil, and the entire team for the victory," Goyal said while addressing the media persons..
Devendra Fadnavis, a top Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, praised the party's victory in the state's Rajya Sabha elections on Saturday, calling it a "great victory." "We are overjoyed that all three BJP candidates have won," Fadnavis remarked. He also emphasised the party's percentage of the vote.
"Anil Bonde and Piyush Goyal each received 48 votes. Sanjay Raut of the Shiv Sena earned more votes than our third candidate "He said.
The BJP won three of Maharashtra's six seats. The Shiv Sena, Congress, and NCP each won one seat, with Sanjay Pawar of the Shiv Sena losing the race.
