Ujjain: Good news has come for the devotees of Baba Mahakal from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh. Under this, devotees will now be able to visit the sanctum sanctorum from Tuesday to Friday except for 3 days of the week and get their blessings by visiting baba for free. For the last two and a half months, the system of free sanctum sanctorum darshan was banned. RK Tiwari, assistant administrative officer of the temple committee, said that the Shri Mahakaleshwar Managing Committee has decided that devotees will be allowed to enter the sanctum sanctorum if there is less crowd in the temple for four days a week except Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
Under this decision of the Shri Mahakaleshwar Managing Committee, about 20 thousand devotees reached the sanctum sanctorum on Tuesday. Devotees visited for 3 hours on Tuesday. Due to this, about 20 thousand devotees took the blessings of Baba Mahakal. After a long time, ordinary devotees were also blessed by seeing Baba Mahakal. The temple premises reverberated with the chants of Baba Mahakal. Now this arrangement will continue except on crowded days.
Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple is crowded with devotees every day. In such a situation, till now two devotees were allowed to enter the temple committee's receipt of Rs 1500 from 6 am to 1 pm and in the evening from 6 to 8 pm with a dress code. At the same time, normal devotees were only able to visit from 50 feet away. The Mahakaleshwar temple was banned from entering the sanctum sanctorum of ordinary devotees since the beginning of Shravan month from July 14.
