New Delhi: If you are thinking to buy a new premium SUV or Sub-4 meter SUV, but want something that is a little different, then just wait for some time. French auto company Groupe PSA is going to launch its new cars in the Indian market soon. According to the reports, the company's first car in India will be the Citroen C5 Aircross which will be imported in India.
The Citroen C5 Aircross will carve out a niche for itself in the premium SUV segment in India. According to the report, this SUV can be launched as early as next year. This car has been seen running on the roads of the country during testing. Citroen is also planning to launch three cars in the Indian market.
According to reports, 3 new vehicles including a Sub-4 meter SUV, a sedan and a B-segment hatchback will be launched by 2023. Manufacturing of these three cars will also be done in India. Citron will launch the compact SUV codename C21 in the second half of 2021.
Citroen is also about to launch the Sub-4 meter SUV C3 Sporty in India. Which will compete with Hyundai Venue, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and the upcoming Kia Sonet. According to the report, this new compact SUV will be offered with 3 engine options. It will include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine. According to the report, the price of the Citroen C5 Aircross can start from Rs. 25 lakhs.
