The BJP and trinamool Congress (TMC) have clashed last Friday over the GST meeting. Questioning the meeting, West Bengal Finance Minister Amit Mitra has recently written to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. In this letter, he said, "His voice and suggestions have been ignored in the meeting." Not only that, he also wrote, "His voice was not heard. That is why you have to write a letter.''

In a further letter, he said, "Tax on corona related goods should not have been imposed under any circumstances. It is not in the public interest." Now, after knowing all this, Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur has tweeted. He tweeted, "Amit Mitra's voice was not coming properly during video conferencing. In this regard, the Revenue Secretary also said that it would be better if he stopped the video and communicated only through audio. But he did not accept the advice. Later, when the voice stopped coming from him and other Members started speaking, he did not say anything."

Anurag Thakur also said, "Finally, once everyone's words were over, the Finance Minister said that if anyone wants to say anything else, one can say something else, amit mitra remained silent even at that time. According to him, no one is discriminated against in the Council. Everybody gets every chance to say things. During the discussion, the Finance Minister does not listen to anyone, but listens to everyone's views with restraint.''
