Ahmedabad: Corona infection has taken a deadly form in Gujarat. Every day record-breaking cases are coming to light. As a result, patients undergoing treatment are on the rise and recoverers are decreasing. Due to this, patients in hospitals are not able to get beds and even if beds are being found, oxygen is not available. There is also a shortage of remdesivir.

Such problems are more common in private hospitals. So, on Wednesday, dr. Viren Shah resigned as secretary of the Hospital and Nursing Association (AHNA) in Ahmedabad. Dr. Viren Shah had been raising the issue of shortage of remdesivir and oxygen in private hospitals before the municipal corporation and the government for the past several days.

But he has accused the municipal corporation of not taking any concrete steps. He says private hospitals were having problems taking remdesivir and oxygen. As a result many patients and their families are facing problems. Patients living in home isolation are also upset.
