In order to control the corona infection in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the metropolitan municipality has increased the fine amount of 200 to 500 rupees for not wearing masks and spitting at public places, with this, the shop owner will have to pay a fine of ten thousand for spitting near the Tobacco stores.
Dr Rajeev Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Ministry of Forest and Environment and Special Officer, Ahmedabad Metropolitan Municipality, informed the media that despite strict actions taken against to prevent the spread of the Corona epidemic, spitting in public places should be stopped immediately and the public should strictly follow wearing mask. Citizens have to pay a fine of Rs 500 for not wearing the mask and Rs 200 for spitting in public places.
Till now 1,72,000 people have been fined in Ahmedabad for disobeying the guidelines. Gupta said that the shop owner will have to pay a fine of Rs 10,000 for spitting after eating Tobacco near the shop, a decision taken in the meeting by Ahmedabad Commissioner Mukesh Kumar and Zone Deputy Commissioners.
