On Friday, on the constitution, Gujarat Assembly Speaker Rajendra Trivedi claimed that Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar had given credit for drafting the constitution to BN Rao, who was a Brahmin. Trivedi said that 8 of the 9 eminent personalities of the country who received the Nobel Prize were Brahmins. These include economist Abhijeet Banerjee. His statement has highlighted the contribution of Brahmins in the country.

Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai replied to the opponents, "Anti-Dalit who rejects CAA..."

On the occasion of Mega Brahmin Business Summit, Trivedi said, do you know that after studying the constitution of 60 countries, our constitution was made. We all take the name of Dr. Ambedkar with all due respect, but Ambedkar himself said that the draft was prepared by BN Rao. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was also present in the program.

Apart from this, the Speaker further said in his address, do you know that the constitutions of 60 countries were studied and then the constitution was drafted. Do you know who drafted BR Ambedkar? Whenever it comes to the Constitution, we all take the name of Ambedkar with respect. He said that, but in his own words (by Ambedkar) the draft was prepared by BN Rao (Brahmin). History shows that Brahmins always pursue others. It was Rao who kept Ambedkar ahead of him. We are proud of Ambedkar as he confessed this in his speech in the Constituent Assembly on 25 November 1949.
