Ahmedabad: Indranil Rajguru, the Congress candidate from Rajkot for the upcoming Assembly elections in Gujarat, while addressing the public, claimed that Allah and Mahadev are the same. Congress leader Indranil Rajguru said that whenever he goes to Somnath on a bus with Hindu devotees and whenever he goes to Ajmer by train with Muslims, he gets equal happiness. TV9 has posted the video on its YouTube channel.

In his speech, Congress leader Rajguru further said, "In my opinion, there is Allah in Somnath and Mahadev in Ajmer.'' At the same time, the Congress leader shouted Allah-hu-Akbar from the stage and said, "Don't let those who want to divide us win." Indranil was first elected MLA from the Rajkot assembly constituency in 2012. In 2018, he resigned from the post of Rajkot Congress unit president. Prior to that, he was given a ticket by Congress from the Rajkot West seat. At that time, he was one of the richest candidates of the Congress in Gujarat. At that time, his income was shown in the affidavit as Rs 141 crore. He had given information about a Lamborghini car and 12 vehicles worth Rs 4.5 crore in his property at that time.

In April 2022, it was reported that Indranil had joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). However, in November 2022, it was revealed that he has rejoined the Congress and had been fielded by the Congress from the Rajkot seat. After coming back to Congress, Indranil also apologized to Rahul Gandhi. He apologized for joining AAP and said, 'I strayed by mistake, went to AAP. There I saw that in the process of removing a false man, I was trapped in the affair of another false man Kejriwal. They are working like a B team. I want to tell everyone not to get into their words. I have seen them very closely. They (AAP) are not staunch honest but corrupt. They are not nationalists, they are anti-nationals. You guys forgive me for going there.'

After leaving AAP, Indranil Rajguru said while addressing a press conference, 'They (AAP) people say that we do not do corruption. But I have seen it with my own eyes. If you don't do corruption, where does so much money come from? I've also seen a lot of money there. I don't know how much it was, but a lot of money came.' Indranil made a big disclosure on October 1.
