Ahmedabad: Veteran Gujarat Congress leader Bharat Sinh Solanki has made a big statement on the full liquor in force in the state. He said that if the Congress government is formed in the 2022 assembly elections in Gujarat, prohibition can be removed. The Congress party is now embroiled in controversy over his statement. The Congress party has questioned the Gujarat government several times over the prohibition.
In fact, the Rahul Gandhi Cricket League was organized in Ahmedabad through Congress national spokesperson Rohan Gupta. Bharat Singh Solanki and Gujarat Pradesh Unit President Jagdish Thakor also attended the opening ceremony of the league. Meanwhile, Bharat Sinh Solanki spoke of the removal of liquor in 'liquor-banned Gujarat'. He said, "I agree that the people of Gujarat should come together and make a decision that people should enjoy in the cold weather". That is, somewhere Bharat Singh Solanki appeared to be in support of the removal of prohibition.
Solanki further said, "Indira Gandhi, the former PM of the country, also believed that if the rich people drink high-quality liquor, there is no harm in it. But if the poor people spend their money on alcohol, it is totally wrong. If the Congress government is formed in Gujarat, prohibition will not be lifted without the approval of women, but if women support the removal of prohibition, the Congress will lift the liquor ban from Gujarat in the near future.
