RAJKOT: Police announced on Saturday that a minor girl who was brutally raped after being kidnapped and married by a guy has given birth to a girl in a local government hospital.

The girl's mother reported the incident to the police at the Aji dam, saying that the family is from Bihar and works as labourers there. Her 15-year-old daughter met the accused Bablu Chauhan almost a year ago, who seduced her with the prospect of marriage and kidnapped her.

She has also claimed that Bablu raped her while taking her to various locations.. Her daughter was abandoned by the dad a few days earlier, but she later joined the family. She went to the government hospital on Friday after complaining of a stomach ache, where she gave birth to a girl.

Bablu Chauhan has been charged by Rajkot Police with kidnapping, forcing a minor to marry after being taken, being raped by a person or group of people acting in furtherance of their common objective, and violating numerous sections of the POCSO Act.
