AHMEDABAD: Two women resident of Bardoli in Gujarat have made a record of 'Backward-race'. Here Twinkle Thakar and Swati Thakar ran up to 53 km in 13 hours. After which their name has been recorded in the 'Guinness Book of the Record'. The pair of both have described the thinking of PM Narendra Modi as the inspiration behind this success.

They said Modiji's message of women's empowerment inspired them to show their skills. Thus other women can also be encouraged. Twinkle Thacker and Swati Thacker started their race from Bardoli at 5 pm on Tuesday, on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. After which it ended at Dandi at 9 o'clock the next day. They both look like each other's sister-in-law. They have sent the video of their race to the concerned department.

Under the 'Greatest Distance Covered by Backward Running in 24 Hours', both of them completed the opposite race. Swati is also the founder of an organization called Ken Tekwanadu of Bardoli. Whereas, her sister-in-law Twinkle Thakar belongs to Comet Dance Academy. They said that they are ready to do more for the purpose of promoting women power.
