Amritsar: Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has said that he will not go to Pakistan to attend the inauguration ceremony of Kartarpur Corridor. On the question of former PM Manmohan Singh going to this function, Amarinder said that "I do not think that he will even agree to go to Pakistan. Pakistan government has invited Amarinder Singh and Manmohan Singh to attend the inauguration ceremony of Kartarpur corridor".

However, on Thursday evening, CM Amarinder Singh has denied the news that he is not going to Pakistan and he has no hope that Dr Manmohan Singh will also visit Pakistan.
The Kartarpur corridor will be inaugurated on 9 November for Indian Sikh devotees. The corridor will be opened on 9 November, three days before the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak. Without this, Sikh devotees from India will be able to visit Kartarpur without a visa. Project director Atif Majid said that work on the corridor has been almost completed.
