Ahmedabad: Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi has said that pornographic videos that are easily available on mobile phones are responsible for incidents of rape, adding that another important reason for rape is people known to you, who may include neighbours and family members. 

Harsh Sanghvi also said that such incidents are a stigma in society, adding that a recent survey was conducted that revealed how mobile phones and acquaintances were responsible for the rape. Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi further said, "We always blame the police for incidents of rape, but we cannot blame the police alone for such incidents," Sanghvi said, claiming that our Gujarat is the safest in the entire country.  If a father rapes his little girl, the reason behind it is also the mobile phone. 

Harsh Sanghvi further said that there are many cases in which incidents of rape are carried out due to the social perversion of people. "If a father rapes his little girl, is it a big social issue or not?''
