Zoya Akhtar directorial musical drama Gully Boy starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt has been selected as India’s official entry to the Academy Awards in the foreign film category for next year. He wrote, 'We are very happy that Gully Boy has been selected as India's official film in the Best International Feature Film category at the 92nd Oscar Awards by India. According to information received from a media house, Alia Bhatt also said - 'Gully Boy is really very special for me as a film. Even more special is that the journey of this film has gone so long - the film won at the Melbourne Film Festival after its release in February. After this, it was also shown again in Japan. This film has been chosen to represent India.
