Not only this, but there are references to 18 Puranas in Hinduism, whose author is Maharishi Ved Vyas. Apart from this, the credit of dividing the Vedas also goes to Krishna Dvaipayan Vyas, due to which he is also known as Ved Vyasa. You all may not know Maharishi Ved Vyas is also called Adiguru, due to which Guru Purnima is also called Vyas Purnima.
