Hanuman Jayanti, which commemorates the birth anniversary of Lord Hanuman, is a significant religious celebration in the Hindu faith. This time Hanuman Jayanti will be celebrated on 6th April.

Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated on full moon day during Chaitra month. Hanuman, who is also known as Vanara God, was born on this day and Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Hanuman. On Purnima Tithi, or the full moon day of Shukla Paksha in the Chaitra month, Hanuman Jayanti occurs. The parents of Lord Hanuman are Anjana and Kesari. His other names include Vayu Dev, Bajrangbali, and Vanara God. Hanuman, often referred to as Anjaneya, is a devoted follower of both Lord Rama and Sita.

Lord Hanuman's birth anniversary is commemorated as Hanuman Jayanti. Hanuman is a follower of Lord Rama, and this is clear from the fact that he is one of the main characters in the Ramayana. According to legend, Hanuman's birth is likewise connected to the time of Lord Ram. He is also considered to be the Ashta Siddhi and Nav Nidhi possessor and to be an incarnation of Mahadeva.

Anjana, the mother of Hanuman, was an Apsara who was cursed to be born on earth. She was freed from the curse when she gave birth to Hanuman. Anjana is supposed to have prayed fervently to Rudra for twelve years in order to become pregnant. Rudra gave them the son they desired after being moved by her devotion. According to Drik Panchang, Hanuman is thought to have been born at sunrise. Temples begin spiritual discussions before Sunrise on the day of Hanuman Hanuman Jayanti and end them after Sunrise.

The significance of this day is found in the character traits of Lord Hanuman, such as loyalty, bravery, and selflessness. Also, devotees think that Hanuman guards them against everything harm.

In North Indian states, Hanuman Jayanti, which falls on Chaitra Purnima, is the most celebrated festival. However, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana celebrate Hanuman Jayanti for 41 days, beginning on Chaitra Purnima and concluding on the tenth day during Krishna Paksha in the month of Vaishakha.

Hanuman Jayanti, also known as Hanumath Jayanthi, is celebrated during Margashirsha Amavasya in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Hanuman Jayanti falls in January or December according to the Gregorian calendar. Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated in Karnataka on Shukla Paksha Trayodashi during the Margashirsha month. Hanuman Vratam is the name given to the day by the Drik Panchang.
