Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap is celebrating his 49th birthday today. Anurag is known for making different kinds of films. He has brought out the bitter truth of society through his films. His films are very small budget but still, his films are amazing. Anurag was born on September 10, 1972, in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Tell you that Anurag Kashyap's father was the chief engineer in the electricity department and Anurag's childhood was spent in many cities due to his father's job. Anurag's early studies were at Green School in Dehradun and Scindia School in Gwalior.

After that, he got admission to Hansraj College, Delhi for his further studies. While studying here, he joined the theatre group 'Jan Natya Manch' and started playing the street. He then reached Mumbai in 1993. At that time, he had five thousand rupees in his pocket, and initially, he had to face a lot of difficulties. When the money was slowly spent out, he had to sleep on the streets, but in the meantime, he somehow found work in the Prithvi Theatre. In 1998, Manoj Bajpayee suggested Anurag Kashyap's name to Ram Gopal Varma as a writer, and Ram Gopal Varma had seen and hired Anurag. Anurag Kashyap got a chance to write a story with Saurabh Shukla for the film 'Satya.'

While Anurag Kashyap made his debut film 'Panch' in 2003, though it could never be released, his film was definitely screened at some international film festivals. In 2007, Anurag's 'Black Friday' came out and there was a lot of controversy about the film. After this film, he made 'Dev.D,' 'Gulaal,' 'Gangs of Wasseypur,' 'Bombay Talkies,' 'Ugly,' 'Raman Raghav 2.0' and other films including and 'Manmarziyaan' which were excellent. Talking about personal life, Anurag married film editor Aarti Bajaj in 1997 and divorced in 2009. The two now have a daughter Alia Kashyap. Anurag married actress Kalki Kekalan for the second time but the two also divorced in 2015.
