When he entered Bollywood, the audience expected the handsome hunk to become a big superstar one day just like his father, Feroz Khan.

Fardeen has a sister named Laila Khan. Khan is the nephew of the on-screen Khans Sanjay and Akbar. He is Suzanne Khan's and Zayed Khan's cousin. In 1998, Fardeen Khan made his acting debut in the romantic comedy Prem Aggan, for which he was nominated for the Filmfare Best Debut Award.

After 2010, Fardeen Khan took a hiatus from acting and maintained his distance from Bollywood. When he appeared again in the limelight, he was heavily trolled by people for being overweight. After gaining weight in 2019, Fardeen responded to the haters at a Mumbai event. IANS quotes him as saying, "I have been beaten up needlessly. We must, in my opinion, move past these awful things. I don't give a damn about it. I recognise myself in the mirror and am who I am. Whatever is due is due, and whatever is not due is due. I simply laugh it off. These days, I don't read a lot about myself.

Fardeen Khan keeping up the legacy of his father: After taking time off for movies, Fardeen is now managing his father Firoz Khan's legacy. In Bangalore, Firoz Khan had bought more than 100 acres of land. There is a farm with horses there. Feroz has long desired to develop a home complex there. While the actor is no longer with us, his son Fardeen is continuing on his heritage and is in charge of a flourishing company.

Mumtaz's daughter Natasha Madhvani is the wife of Fardeen Khan, with whom he has a boy named Azarius and a daughter named Diani. On December 14, 2005, they were married in Mumbai.
