Today is the birthday of Bollywood actress Konkona Sen Sharma. She was born in Bengali family on 3 December 1979 in New Delhi. Talking about her education, she has studied from the Modern High School for Girls, Calcutta. She completed her graduation from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University.

Konkona started her career as a child artist with the film Indra. Later she worked in many superhit films like Picnic, Titli, Atithi Kab Jaoge, Page 3, Mr and Mrs Iyer, Omkara, Traffic Signal, Laaga Chunri Mein Daag, Life in a Metro, Fashion, Dil Kabaddi, Wake up Sid, Ek Thi Daayan. Konkona is married to her alleged lover Ranveer Shore, they also have a son Harun Sen Shourie. She started off as an adult actress with the Bengali film Ek Je Achhe Kanya (2000). She made her mark for the first time with the English film 'Mr. and Mrs Iyer' among the people.

The special thing is that this film was directed by her mother and she received the National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in this film. She then received the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress twice for the films Omkara (2006) and Life in a Metro (2007). She received a National Award in the Best Supporting Actress category for her performance in Omkara for the second time.
