Shoma Anand, who once ruled the small screen with her powerful acting on the big screen, is celebrating her birthday today. Today she is 63 years old. She was born on 16 February 1958 in Mumbai and her career in Bollywood started with a big actor but one of her decisions wreaked havoc in her own life. She herself drowned her career. Even in today's time, people know Shoma as the mother, sister, aunt, wife's characters on TV. She is going to fit into all these TV characters.
Shoma's career started as an actress in the 1976 film Dynamite. In this film, she has seen opposite Rishi Kapoor and in this film her scenes were fierce. Although he gave bold scenes in this film, her career could not reach the heights. It is said that Shoma took the decision to marry producer and director Tariq Shah, which stalled her career and it was her own decision. It is said that after marriage, Shoma did not get family support and went away from the big screen, but she was determined that she would not stop acting and for this, she started coming on TV which proved to be a milestone for her.
On the small screen, she started with the TV serial Hum Paanch and with this serial Shoma's luck shown once again and after that, she appeared in one show after another and she was well-liked in every show. Shoma is really a great actress.
