A professional cricketer from India, Harmanpreet Kaur was born on Women’s Day, March 8, 1989, in Moga, Punjab. Harmanpreet is an all-rounder who competes for the Indian women's cricket team. She bowls right-arm offbreaks and is right-handed. Her approach to the game of cricket resembles that of the renowned batsman Virender Sehwag, who played by the straightforward "see ball hit ball" tenet. Moreover, she is the first female player to reach 100 points in a Women's Twenty20 International game.

Background:  Harmanpreet was known for her outstanding skill to hit the ball a long way and she proved this against England women's in a T20 International game played in Mumbai in 2010, where she scored an extremely quick 33.

At the Women's Cricket World Cup in March 2009, Harmanpreet made her One Day International debut against Pakistan. She was 20 years old at the time. She only allowed 10 runs in her four overs of bowling.

She made her T20 debut in June 2009, hitting eight runs off of seven balls in the 2009 ICC Women's World Twenty20 match against England.

On August 13, 2014, Kaur faced England in her debut test match, although she was unable to live up to her potential.

In a T20 International game versus England women played in Mumbai in 2010, Harmanpreet demonstrated her amazing ability to strike the ball a long range by scoring an incredibly rapid 33 runs.

In 2012, when Mithali Raj was injured, Kaur showed she had true skill and her play was so engaging that she was named the Indian captain for the Women's T20 Asia Cup.

Her first game as captain ended successfully as she worked hard to hold Pakistan to a total of just 81 runs in order to win the Asia Cup.

As India faced Bangladesh at home, Kaur led the squad for the first time in an ODI. In addition to scoring her second century throughout the series, she also had two wickets, an average of 97.50, and a fifty.

The Indian all-rounder demonstrated her ball handling prowess against the South African women's cricket side in November 2014, taking 9 wickets in a test match that India ultimately won by an innings.

Kaur played a significant role in India's ability to defeat opponents like Australia in the T20 series. She racked up 46 runs in a matter of balls, aiding them in their pursuit of the highest total ever in T20 Internationals. Her outstanding form continued, and in the 2016 ICC Women's World Twenty20, Harmanpreet not only scored 89 runs but also claimed seven wickets in four games.

In December 2017, Harmanpreet was a member of the CC Women's T20I Team of the Year.

In October 2018 for the ICC Women's World Twenty20 event in the West Indies, Kaur was again appointed captain. She gained notoriety as a result of her outstanding efforts during the previous few years. She was the first woman to score a century in a Women's T20I match with a scorching 103 off 51 balls against New Zealand.
