Ahmedabad: In the month of August 2015, the powerful Patidar community of the state came out on the streets to demand reservation in Gujarat. Violence erupted on a large scale in this movement. The leader of this movement was the young Patidar leader Hardik Patel. Who later joined the Congress. The K A Puj Commission was formed to investigate this violent movement. Hardik Patel will appear before this commission again on Wednesday. Patel had earlier appeared on Monday.

After that, he said that he has been asked by the commission to give a statement in writing. The Congress leader said, Since I had not prepared my written statement, I have been asked to appear before the Commission on Wednesday. I will give both a written statement and evidence that day. The Commission of Inquiry headed by former High Court Justice K A Puj gave notice to Patel and other leaders of the Patidar movement to make their point. In relation to the notice of the Commission, he appeared before the KA Puj Commission in Gandhinagar on Monday.

The KA Puj Commission is investigating the police excesses that occurred during the agitation. Other leaders of the Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti include Chirag Patel, Ketan Patail and Amrish Patel. He too received the commission's notice. Due to this movement, BJP had a lot of trouble in the state. BJP also suffered its loss in the state assembly elections.
