Haridwar: In the year 2021, Mahakumbh is being organized in Haridwar and the preparations are going on a war footing. In view of the global epidemic coronavirus, the duration of Kumbh Mela has been reduced this year. The central and state governments have also issued necessary guidelines in view of Corona.

This year, Haridwar Kumbh starts from 1st April and will end on 30th April. The first Kumbh Mela was to begin on the day of Magh Purnima on 27 February and was to end on 27 April i.e. Kumbh was going to last about two months, but now the duration of Kumbh Mela was reduced to only 30 days.

Royal Bath: -

Along with reducing the duration of Kumbh Mela, the number of Shahi Snan has also been reduced. Previously, where there were 4 Shahi Snan in Kumbh Mela, this time it has been reduced to 3. There will be 3 Shahi Snan during the Haridwar Kumbh Mela 2021 in the month of April-
- First royal bath 12 April (Somvati Amavasya)
- Second royal bath 14 April (Baisakhi)
- Third Shahi Snan April 27 (Full Moon Day)
