Dehradun: Former Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat has termed the decision to abolish the vacant posts in the departments for three years as a great sin. He appealed to CM Pushkar Singh Dhami to defer the recommendation of the Fifth State Finance Commission. He has warned of fasting in the scorching sun if the recommendation is not cancelled within a week.

In a letter to the CM through his Facebook post, he said that it was an attack on the hopes of thousands of unemployed people. Even now nothing has been disturbed, this recommendation should be cancelled. The government is given a week's time for this. If it is not cancelled in the meantime, he will sit on a fast from 12 noon to 1 pm in the scorching sun. So that the government can have some sense of the pain of the unemployed.

Former CM Harish Rawat has congratulated CM Pushkar Singh Dhami for the decision to give old age pension to both husband and wife. The former Chief Minister said that this decision of Shabash Pushkar Singh Dhami's old-age pension is welcome. He wrote that CM Dhami has washed away the sins of his former chief ministers to some extent by doing so. During the Congress government, it was decided to give this pension to both husband and wife. Thousands of people were benefiting from it. But the BJP government took away thousands of women from their pensions by implementing the rule of only one family-one pension. The former CM said that since the day the pension of such eligible women has been stopped, it should be resumed from the same day. If the CM pays for its arrears, he will go ahead and not only thank her but will also go to garland Chief Minister Dhami.
