Hariyali Teej fasting method
On this day, women should wake up early in the morning and have a bath.
- Then clean the house and then decorate a small pavilion.
- Now make a Shivling, Lord Ganesha and Goddess Parvati with soil. Keep in mind that you have to make it with the help of soil and Ganges water.
- Now offer the goods to Goddess Parvati.
- Now worship Goddess Parvati, Lord Shiva and Ganesha.
- Offer clothes to Shiva and listen to the story of Hariyali Teej. If possible, listen to it with the whole family.
Importance of Hariyali Teej
Teej of Shukla Paksha of Saavan month is celebrated as Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati united again on this day. It is also mentioned in Shiva Purana. Hence, on this day, married women worship Lord Shiva with Goddess Parvati. This makes their married life happy. On this day, unmarried women also fast on this day and they fast for the attainment of a good husband.
