Chandigarh: There have been long-time speculation that former Haryana Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Bhupendra Singh Hooda will stay or go in the Congress. It is now being said that the 31-member committee formed by him will decide his future in the Congress tomorrow i.e. on 3 September. The decision of how the next battle will be fought under his leadership will be made during the meeting in the Speaker Hall of Bithal Bhai Patel House Delhi. However, Hooda is now pressuring Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi to strengthen her hold in the Congress and retain all the rights and also take the post of state president and CLP leader.

He has also met Sonia Gandhi, although no concrete reply has been received from his side as yet. Congress legislator and Hooda's loyal Udaybhan, while speaking to the media, said that all the members of the committee have been made aware of the meeting. In the meeting, the whole strategy will be prepared whether Hooda and his supporters will remain in Congress or will take a different route. MLA Udaybhan believes that after this meeting there will be a new change in Haryana. BJP's growing base will be stopped. He claimed that many BJP MLAs were in contact with Hooda. Only Bhupendra Singh Hooda can stop the BJP in Haryana.
