Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini filed his nomination as the BJP candidate for the Ladwa constituency in the upcoming state assembly elections on Tuesday. The nomination was submitted in the presence of Union Minister and former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, along with other BJP leaders.

Addressing the media, CM Saini expressed his confidence in the BJP forming a "double-engine" government in Haryana for the third time. He highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Haryana on September 14 to support the election campaign. "I received immense support from the public of Ladwa. The nomination event was historic, with the entire town turning out to offer their blessings. I am certain that the people will elect a double-engine BJP government in Haryana once again," Saini stated.

Union Minister Khattar, who was present during the nomination, announced that the BJP would soon release the remaining list of candidates. So far, the party has announced 67 candidates out of the 90 assembly constituencies in Haryana. Khattar confirmed that the final list of candidates would be declared by September 12. He added, "The nomination process began on September 5, and it is progressing as candidates file their papers. It is encouraging that our CM Nayab Singh Saini has filed his nomination from Ladwa. We anticipate that BJP will be the first party to finalize its list of candidates, and I am optimistic about our success. The Congress is headed towards defeat."
