Haryana has received good news on Saturday amid reports of a shortage of vaccines. Haryana is being supplied the first supply of covid vaccine for vaccination of 18+. In this phase, people in the age group of 18 to 44 years are going to be vaccinated. A total of 66 lakh vaccines have been allocated to Haryana. These vaccines will be available in different phases. The pre-stage vaccine is to be sent to different districts. In Haryana, the next phase of the vaccination programme will begin soon.
It is learnt that Haryana's oxygen quota has been increased by another 25 metric tonnes. Haryana will now get 257 Metric Tonnes of oxygen from the Centre. Linde Seleki will provide 25 MT more oxygen. Tankers sent to Odisha are also reaching Haryana on Saturday with more oxygen.
In view of the vaccination being introduced for people from 18 to 44 years in Haryana, the State Government had ordered 50 lakh doses of covid vaccine. CM Manohar Lal said 50 lakh vaccines are sufficient for 1 month. Now, there is a capacity to plant 1 lakh vaccines per day. According to the new registration, it can be increased by 1.5 lakh to 2 lakh. Immunization is also scheduled to be started from 1st May in hospitals of CHCs, PHCs and voluntary institutions.
