The Manohar Lal government has given a big gift to nearly seventy thousand staff of the Haryana Police and Prison Department. These staff will again be able to travel outside Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh without ticket, provided they are on duty. Tickets will be charged for private work. The transport department has issued its instructions afresh, withdrawing the directive of 31 December 2019.
The Principal Secretary of the Department has written a letter to the Director Transport to tell them to implement it. In the coming years, the transport department had withdrawn the facility of traveling in concessional rates in roadways buses to get out of the state from the police and jail staff. Ongoing to Haryana, Chandigarh and Rajdhani, these staff could travel without ticket by showing the identity card.
The government has now decided that in other states outside Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Bell jumpers, fugitives will not have tickets for police notices, officers and employees for issuing court notices, warrants and investigations. On asking them to cut the ticket in the roadways bus, they have to show the duty slip, court instructions to the conductor. Traveling in Haryana, Rajdhani and Chandigarh will be a lot of identity cards. If they go on a private trip outside the state, then tickets have to be taken. There will be no exemption in it. The Principal Secretary Transport has ordered the Director to make all these depots aware of these directions. A copy of this has also been sent to DGP, Haryana Police and DG Jail.
