Chandigarh: Haryana's Manohar Lal Khattar government will provide one lakh additional government job opportunities to the youth in the next five years. A special plan is being formulated for this. The State Government will also focus on further increasing excise revenue. The target has been fixed for the revenue to reach 7,000 crores by next year.

Haryana CM Manohar Lal said that in the last six years, government recruitment to 85 thousand posts has been made on a merit basis. More than one lakh posts will be recruited in the coming five years. CM Khattar expressed confidence that the employees who have been recruited on merit basis will certainly live up to the expectations of the people and stay away from corruption. He said that in the last six years, it has taken initiative to bring transparency in the government machinery through information technology and to bring about a paradigm shift in the system.

He said the government has also succeeded to a great extent in this link. Whether it is recruitment on merit or the transfer policy of teachers. CM Khattar said that separate district municipal commissioners have also been appointed in urban local bodies after appointing separate CEOs of Zilla Parishads to accelerate the pace of development in rural areas. This is also helping in mobilizing the economic resources of these institutions.
