Chandigarh: A person named Shravan of Amar Enclave Phase-1 under Azad Nagar police station area of Hisar district, Haryana, put his 35-year-old wife Sarla and 17-year-old daughter Pooja to death by slapping them in the head. After the murder, the accused Shravan was present on the spot and also informed the police himself. The reason for the incident is said to be domestic discord. The family lived in this house on rent and at the time of the incident Shravan's 13-year-old son Manjeet had gone out of the house.

On getting the information, Azad Nagar police station in-charge Sukhjit Singh reached the spot along with the team. DSP Law and Order Jogendra Sharma also reached the spot. A forensic and finger print expert team was called to the scene, who collected clues from there. Police transported the bodies to the civil hospital for postmortem and arrested the accused.

Vinod said in a statement to the police that he was originally a resident of Dobhi village and six months ago, after selling a house in the village, he started living here on rent. He told that he was asking his wife to go back to the village, but his wife Sarla and daughter were not ready to go to the village and they were adamant on staying in the city. There was discord in the house about this.
